This Privacy Policy applies to https://americanitdepartment.com (the “Site”) and any related customer portals owned and operated by American IT Department (“American IT Department,” “AITD,” “we,” or “us”). This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information, and your choices regarding that information. It is designed to meet U.S. privacy requirements and support A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) compliance for SMS communications.

1.1. Information You Provide

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, mailing address, phone number (including mobile number for SMS).

  • Account Credentials: Username, password, unique identifiers.

  • Billing & Payment Information: Billing address, payment card details (processed securely via third-party payment providers; see Section 4).

  • Company Details: Company name, address, business type.

  • Communications: Any content you submit via contact forms, support tickets, or surveys.

1.2. Automatically Collected Information

  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, date/time stamps, and clickstream data.

  • Cookies & Tracking: Cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to analyze usage, administer the Site, and gather demographic information.

  • Analytics: Third-party services (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand Site performance and user behavior.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our services and customer portal

3. SMS Messaging & A2P 10DLC Compliance

  • Consent: You opt in when you provide your number or explicitly check an SMS consent box.

  • Identification: Messages will identify American IT Department as the sender.

  • Frequency & Coverage: Frequency and message types will be disclosed at opt-in.

  • Opt-Out: Reply “STOP” at any time to unsubscribe from marketing messages. For assistance, text “HELP” or contact us (see Section 12).

  • Privacy: We store your SMS consent records and treat your mobile number as personal information under this Policy.


4. Service Providers & Third Parties

We share your data with:

  • Payment processors for secure handling of billing information (PCI-compliant).

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers to operate our Site and portal.

  • Email and SMS delivery vendors for transactional and marketing communications.

  • Analytics providers for usage insights.

Each vendor is contractually bound to use your data only as needed to perform services for AITD and to keep it confidential.

  • Correction & Deletion: You can update or delete your information via your account settings or by contacting us.

  • Opt-Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe links are included in all marketing emails, or email [email protected]. For SMS, reply “STOP.”

  • Do Not Track: Our Site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals; see our cookie controls below.

Requests will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe.


7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. We may also retain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for internal reporting.

9. Analytics & Log Files

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it.
